Midnight North Colorado Tour Poster

The Midnight North origin story pretty much started right around the same time Terrapin Crossroads opened for business in San Rafael, CA. While we played a few shows in and around San Francisco before then, we really came into our own and became a band on the TXR bar stage and in the Grate Room. Things only picked up once we began our Sunday evening residency that lasted many years. Those were the good days! While its sad that the OG TXR is no longer, we can certainly thank the Lesh Family for carrying the vibe forward with the ever expanding Terrapin Roadshows. We had an epic time last year at the San Rafael Roadshow and no doubt this month’s two August Roadshows in Glenwood Springs will bring that Terrapin Nation vibe to Colorado! Hope to see you there for another chapter of Midnight North and TXR!

Midnight North Returns to the Stage in 2026

Hey everyone!

2024 and 2025 were some up and down years for Midnight North. We took a pause from touring in early 2024 after Elliott had a really tough health scare, then Grahame’s dad passed in late 2024, and then in the fall of 2025 we took another break to welcome three Midnight North babies into the world all in the span of a couple months from each other! 👶👶👶

Now we are thrilled to be back at it together! With these new little additions to care for, we won’t be on the road as often as we used to, but our plan is to go out for a weekend of shows a month starting in April. So this Spring catch us in April in NorCal, in May in SoCal, and we’ll let you know soon where you can catch us in June and beyond!

Tickets for all our spring shows are available at the links below.

April 4 | Presidio Theatre | San Francisco

“Horns on the Weekend” RIP Bobby Weir

One of the Midnight North family’s favorite Bobby stories came when we played The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, CA on November 3rd, 2017. Both Bob and Phil we’re gracious enough to join our little band on stage that night in our hometown. We had a slew of other musicians joining in on the fun that night including a horn section we pieced together – one of the first times we made that happen live. We were excited to say the least. When we told Bob that we had a horn section for the night he said nonchalantly, with his very own, unique Bobby wit: “of course, because horns on the weekend” like it was some sort of industry-standard practice that every band did! Needless to say, we loved that! We thought it was hilarious and we referred to that that phrase countless times from then on.

As Elliott described so well in her posts we also performed “Only a River” that night with Bob. It is such a beautiful song and probably our favorite collaboration with him and Midnight North, even if it didn’t have the horns. Take a listen below.

Love ya Bobby, rest easy ❤️❤️❤️
